Rainforest walk through Bijagua’s natural wonders!
Start this adventurous nature walk with private comfortable transportation to the day’s activity location. Receive a safety introduction before heading out on a beautiful rainforest nature walk. Enjoy exploring the flora and fauna of Costa Rica while you trek through the rainforest. Keep an eye out for a range of exotic creatures that call this place home including multiple species of butterflies, red-eye tree frogs, blue jeans frogs, toucan birds, monkeys, sloths, and tapirs – some of the endangered animals.
Coffee and swim breaks!
Enjoy a break for snacks and refreshments and then head through the rainforest admiring the exotic flora until reaching Rio Celeste for a dip into its blue waters! The river is known for its legendary pale blue color that local folklore explains is the result of the gods cleansing their brushes in the river’s water as they painted the sky blue. The actual reason for the special hue of the river is a result of a chemical mixture of sulfur and carbonate, which originates in the nearby Tenorio Volcano. Finally, enjoy a delicious lunch at a restaurant in the middle of the rainforest after a satisfying day full of beauty and adventure!
