Reinvigorate yourself in the Damajagua Waterfalls
Your Damajagua Falls excursion will begin with a pick-up at your Puerto Plata resort. Guides will provide you with instructions and safety gear, including helmets, and then they’ll escort you on an all-day foray. Be sure to wear water shoes and a swimsuit — you will be getting wet! Your climb will include slippery slopes and rocks, wooden ladders and knotted ropes as explore several waterfalls on the Damajagua River.
Once at the farthest waterfall, your return trip downhill will pass several more waterfalls and provide you with a chance to swim in the natural pools created by the cascades. Some of them feature natural water slides in the smooth rocks. Use them to slide into the pools, or let them be a jump-off point, particularly one that will test your bravery with a 25-foot drop!

The Damajagua Waterfalls were only recently discovered in the last 30 years, so you’ll enjoy a place that’s still very much in tune with nature. Experienced guides will be with you the whole time as you encounter this rugged landscape and make a splash on its refreshing pools. This outing will also include a Dominican buffet lunch with soft drinks to help you replenish after your expedition. A visit to a stone factory will round out a day full of adventure before you’re transported back to your resort.
