Your adventure includes entrance to this park whose name means ‘little sea’ in Mayan, and provides you with a chance to snorkel in its crystal-clear waters. The national marine park features an emerald green lagoon where you and anyone ages 8 and older will have a chance to meet, touch, and swim with sea lions after a brief instruction by friendly guides who will explain the activities. Your interaction includes hugs and kisses with sea lions! Remember, sea lions are highly intelligent and have been known to help U.S. government officials, who train them to assist scuba divers.
Enjoy more fun at Chankanaab marine park and beach
Chankanaab is world famous as the home of a beautiful white-sand beach, and after swimming with sea lions, you can enjoy some relaxing time in the sand. Visit the Mayan casita (little house) for snacks like homemade tortillas, get pampered by the strong hands of a masseuse in an outdoor hut spa, or snorkel around the reef to see colorful fish swim by in large schools. The park also features a botanical garden, a crocodile exhibition, and glass-bottom kayaks for you to continue exploring the beautiful nature of Cozumel above and below its waters.
